We recently had to hang this large (LARGE!) oil painting for a client way up above the mantle. The top of the mantle is 9' high and the painting itself is some 6 1/2' high! Mirror Installation (with 1″ to spare!)
We had to hang this large antique mirror (about 60 pounds worth!) on a plaster wall. The wall was 54" high and the mirror is 53"! Very little room to do it. We took to measuring and drilling and sinking anchors. The finished piece is exactly 1/2" from the ceiling and 1/2" from the mantle, I think it works fine! Another Tricky Installation
Plaster walls... oof. Plaster walls require a bit more planning than drywall. We had to hang these four pictures ever so evenly vertically and horizontally. WE ended up replacing the hanging hardware with newer (and much better) hardware. Then we set about to measure, measure and measure some more! Wonderful Photo of USC Horseshoe in Bloom!
This is a nice piece, a photograph of the USC Horseshoe in bloom. We matted it in a double linen mat, greys and garnets, and used a multi-colored contemporary frame. It is a good size! This was a tricky one, we had to hang this collage of framed photos (most vertical, a few horizontal) in a "non-linear" style. We chose a "shotgun" pattern and got to work, it took quite a while!
