Mexican Tree Bark Art! Amate!
We learned a bit about Mexican Tree Bark Art recently when a customer brought in these brightly colored pieces. Called Amate, this art medium is a paper made from bark in a process that dates back to the pre-European Aztecs. The intensely coloured inks contrast vividly with the drably hued papers.
