California artist Mike Matola created these images, handwritten poster portraits of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr comprised entirely out of the complete written lyrics of seven Beatles’ albums across four posters. Done originally with black ink on newsprint. These reproductions are printed on 80 lb stock matte paper 18″ by 24″, we framed them in black mats and thin black frames, they measure about 24″ x 30″. The posters were made by the artist Mike Matola sitting down and writing out each word with a pen, line by line, down the page and increasing and decreasing the space between the letters until the portrait emerged.
