Here is a fantastic example of how changing a frame can completely update the look of a piece of art and, by extension, the room it is in. Our client had a pastoral landscape in an ornate French style frame that was waaaay too old fashioned for her contemporary decor. We simply swapped out the ornate frame for a contemporary flat gold frame and the results were as she wanted. As for the ornate frame? We put a beveled mirror in it and hung it vertically in the downstairs guest bathroom. Perfect!
