Framed 1940s Wofford College Letterman’s Sweater!
This fabulous piece was recently brought into Elite Framing to be preserved. We hand stitched it onto a golden toned silk matboard (look at Jake go!) and framed it in a black distressed moulding with a gold bead lip. We raised the glass off the sweater with hidden spacers. Who knew USC had a hockey team? We had heard, but weren't sure until this customer brought in a newspaper article to frame. We used black mats (black mats seem to be a good choice for Newspaper articles, makes the black type easier to read it seems) and a Gamecock motif moulding. Fun French Advert Framed!
Well, English Jake called it an "advert" anyway. We will go with that. This nice piece is a reproduction of an old French advertisement (sorry! ADVERT!) that we matted in a mustardy suede with thin black bottom mat. We used a simple and clean black moulding.
