Set of Four Antique Land Plats, Some Framed Front and Back!
This was a fun little job, a dear client allowed us to frame some old (I mean OLD! One is from 1829) land plats and deeds. We sandwiched them between two acid-free rag mats (no adhesives) and glassed them front and back. A deep hand-finished Italian distressed moulding completes the job. Pro Tip! Leave your newspapers whole when bringing in to frame
At Elite Framing we frame many newspaper articles. Is is ALWAYS better to leave the newspaper whole when you want it framed. Some folks cut out the articles and leave no margin for mat overlay (crucial!) Here is an example of some ridiculously small openings that would not have been possible if the paper had been cut.
