We had to hang this large antique mirror (about 60 pounds worth!) on a plaster wall. The wall was 54" high and the mirror is 53"! Very little room to do it. We took to measuring and drilling and sinking anchors. The finished piece is exactly 1/2" from the ceiling and 1/2" from the mantle, I think it works fine! Plaster walls... oof. Plaster walls require a bit more planning than drywall. We had to hang these four pictures ever so evenly vertically and horizontally. WE ended up replacing the hanging hardware with newer (and much better) hardware. Then we set about to measure, measure and measure some more! This was a tricky one, we had to hang this collage of framed photos (most vertical, a few horizontal) in a "non-linear" style. We chose a "shotgun" pattern and got to work, it took quite a while! Tough Installation!
We recently had the task of hanging these 12 photos in three straight rows. It sounded easy enough on the phone but we soon discovered that there were three different frame sizes and within each frame size the hardware was all different! Fear not!
