We had to hang this large antique mirror (about 60 pounds worth!) on a plaster wall. The wall was 54" high and the mirror is 53"! Very little room to do it. We took to measuring and drilling and sinking anchors. The finished piece is exactly 1/2" from the ceiling and 1/2" from the mantle, I think it works fine! Multi-Mirrored Wall!
This was a difficult installation job, each mirror measured 24" x 48" and had welded hanging hardware on the back (all of the hardware was at different heights!) Elite Framing had to hang the three of them as one, with all lines and levels being perfectly aligned. Big Framed Mirror with Moon Dog Model
We framed this big mirror recently, it measures about 56" x 46" (big and HEAVY!) How would someone hang such a large heavy mirror? Don't worry about it! Have us hang it for you!
