Recently we framed this old portrait, it is tiny and printed on some sort of porcelain! The porcelain only measures about 3″ x 4″ (the entire frame only measures about 7″ x 8″!) so we used a small bluish linen mat and a small Italian moulding that has a repeating design. We raised the portrait from the mat ever so slightly and used spacers to keep the glass from touching. Exquisite!
