Papyrus presents unique challenges when framed properly. We like to mount the papyrus on top of the acid free mat and then raise the glass off the papyrus with hidden spacers. The frame on this one is an Italian hand-finished olive wood, it gives a great texture, mimicking the fibrous qualities of the papyrus.
