Pastels are always a bit more difficult to frame as the pigments tend to flake easily and can collect on the mat bevels. We safeguard against this happening by ever so slightly raising the mats of the art as to give the flakes a place to fall behind the mats. On this one we used a stark white mat and gold filet with a traditional gold frame. This piece measures about 20″ x 24″. Very nice! For Columbia picture frames you can count on Elite Framing!
