Here is an authentic game-worn Wofford football jersey from 2007 that we shadowboxed in a deep black with gold lip moulding. We hand-stitched the jersey onto an old gold linen matboard. We framed the Letterman Award in the same frame, top-mounted on a black linen background.
This jersey has an exciting history for Wofford fans. It was worn by linebacker Derek Swindall in the 2007 season. Derek had to have his black Wofford jersey awarded to him because his white Wofford jersey had to be cut off him after he suffered a fractured shoulder blade while making a touchdown saving and game saving tackle on a 4th quarter kickoff return against #3 seed Montana. The game was at Montana and temperature was 13 degrees at kickoff and got colder from there! The 2007 team was a special team indeed with a season that included wins over Appalachian State, Furman and The Citadel in consecutive weeks and a run in the national playoffs all the way to the quarterfinals. Go Terriers!
