It is always a delight when a customer brings in a genuine Egyptian papyrus. We typically float mount them on an acid-free backing board in order to show off the ragged edge texture of the papyrus. Spacers hidden behind the lip of the frame keep the glass from touching the papyrus. This piece measures about 26″ x 12″. We used a bamboo motif moulding in greens and gold. Splendid!
