This is an unusual (and quite large) piece... an Indonesian applique on fabric. Hand stitched with colorful threads, it is on heavy linen. Fantastic Indian Batik!
We recently framed this fantastic batik for a client, we stretched the batik onto an acid free board and used spacers to keep the glass off. We used a 1 1/2" Italian pewter moulding with a bit of a flair to it. This piece is large! It measures about 44" tall x 30" wide. Here is another batik we framed recently. Batiks take extra effort to get flat and straight under the acid free mats we use. We have Jake hand stretch these batiks onto an acid free board, it takes a little extra time but it is worth it to get them nice and flat.
