We top mounted the print on a grey backing board and used a distressed gold and black with repeating geometric pattern frame. We used hidden spacers to keep the glass off the art. We were recently tasked with framing this large contemporary oil painting by local artist Christi Arnette. There was limited space on the wall it was to hang so we went with a thin (7/8" wide) distressed wood moulding. This frame is a good 1 1/8" deep, too, able to handle chunky stretcher strips.
