Here is another batik we framed recently. Batiks take extra effort to get flat and straight under the acid free mats we use. We have Jake hand stretch these batiks onto an acid free board, it takes a little extra time but it is worth it to get them nice and flat. This super cool image (looks like Pacific Northeast? maybe? I'll have to ask the collector!) is done from a digital photograph and then softened and enhanced. It has a nice sepia tone, with soft warm fuzzy lines. We used a dark brown suede mat and top mounted the photo to show the deckled and ragged edges of the paper.
