Here is a nicely framed watercolor. We maintained the minimalist feel of the art with a simple and austere frame, a pewterish hand-finished Italian job. We floated the art on the mat to show off the deckled paper edges and raised the glass with hidden spacers. Framed Whimsical Dogs by Melinda Edwards!
This fun piece was created by Columbia native (now creating her art in Asheville) Melinda Edwards. She used mixed media on paper, shearing the edges of the paper. We raised the art with a hidden layer of acid-free foam board to enhance the deckling of the sheared edges. We then used a 7/8" wide scalloped black moulding.
