Having received these little tiles recently we decided to frame them instead of leaving them laying about! (We're framers... we frame things.) Lovely Little Woodcut
This woodcut was framed in a shabby little dime store frame (you know the one that the artist puts it in for the sole reason that it sort of fits? sort of?) Floating Wisteria Watercolor!
We mounted this nice little watercolor on a teal suede matboard, raising it ever so slightly. The effect is that it is floating against the background. We used a 2" hand-finished pewter moulding with a slightly distressed look. It is sophisticated and casual at the same time! The finished piece measures about 21" x 24". One of our favorite people in Columbia is Paul Kaufmann. Artist, Actor, Instructor, Doer of Good Deeds. His abstracts are always bold and playful, loose and tight.
